What Blinds are Best for your Bathroom?

Unlike all the other rooms in your home, the window treatments in your bathroom are mainly for privacy.

The bathroom is wet and humid, so choosing blinds that create privacy but are also practical is a must. You need to choose window treatments that are easy to use and can withstand the moisture in the room. It’s also best to choose blinds that are easy to clean as the humidity of the room can create mould and mildew, which is never a good thing!

Because of this, using drapes or curtains in your bathroom will never work, plus bathroom windows are usually small, so having so much material is useless.

However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fabric window treatments at all in your bathroom. Shades are a great option because they create a warm, soft feel, but you need to pick carefully to avoid having a mould or mildew problem.

Another material that shouldn’t be used in your bathroom is wood. Wood has tiny cracks in it that let in moisture, so wooden blinds will eventually start to warp and once that happens there is no way to fix them!

If you really love the look of wooden blinds in your bathroom then consider using bamboo blinds or install some high quality faux wood blinds.

Two of the best blinds to install in your bathroom are either aluminium blinds or roller blinds.
Aluminium blinds are a good option because they are clean and offer straight lines, plus they come in a range of colours and are rust-resistant.

Roller blinds are easy to use and create a lot of privacy in your bathroom. They are also easy to wash and maintain and they’ll never warp!
