The difference between Wood Blinds & Faux Wood Blinds

If you want to transform the look of your living space then installing window treatments such as wooden blinds is a great idea!

However, when you've decided whether to choose wood blinds or faux wood blinds then you’ll need to take into account the room you’re installing them in and how big the windows are.

The difference between these two types of blinds is the material they are made from. Wooden blinds are made out of real wood and come in a range of different stains as well as stains. These blinds are suited better for larger windows because they are lighter in weight and since the wood will warp when in a room with high humidity it is not recommended to install wooden blinds in your bathroom.

On the other hand, faux wood blinds are made out of composite PVC and come in a range of different colours, paints, and stains. If you choose a stained look for your faux wooden blinds then it’ll have a more realistic wood look.

If you want to install wooden blinds in your bathroom then it is best to choose faux wood blinds. They look like wood but will survive better in the bathroom as they can withstand the humidity. Faux wooden blinds are much heavier than wood blinds though, so if you want to install them on larger windows it is best to separate them into multiple blinds instead of installing on large one on the headrail.
