So how do these blinds work?

Components – Roller blinds look pretty simple, they are put together using sheets of fabric and a hollow tube along with a ratchet and spring. There is also a tab at the bottom so you won’t have to touch the fabric all the time – this keeps your roller blinds nice and clean.

Operation – The fabric rolls around the tube as the roller blinds go up or down. This is where the ratchet gets involved as it allows you to lock your blinds in place.

Configuration – You have a choice of having the fabric of the blinds roll off the front or the back of the tube. If it is in front this will create more space between the fabric and the window, this will let in more light! When rolled off the back, the light will be blacked out much easier.

My roller blinds are stuck!

Do not stress too much, your blinds will be fine! If they are stuck when down, take them off from the bracket and turn the pin to adjust the tension. If they’re moving too slowly, lower them all the way down, take them off the wall and manually roll them up halfway. Lastly, if they are moving too fast, roll them all the way up, take them off the wall and manually roll them down halfway.
